    scorpion gear

i was looking at getting some new gear and was curious what yall guys thought of the Scorpion gear. i have heard good things about their helmets but not much about the other stuff like jacket and gloves...

here are the gloves, black/silver:  http://www.newenough.com/gloves/street_or_racing_gauntlet/scorpion/magnum_leather_motorcycle_gloves.html

here is the jacket, black:  http://www.newenough.com/protective_apparel/leather_jackets_and_pants/scorpion/stinger_leather_motorcycle_jacket.html

with this helmet, matte anthracite:  http://www.newenough.com/helmets_eyewear/closed_face/scorpion/exo_700_scorpion_motorcycle_helmet.html

i aint gonna lie, im diggin that white jacket too but i dont know...

it looks like good prices so im hoping they hold up well, if not then i'll look elsewhere....any thoughts??

I was looking at the gloves, but don't know. Can't be any worse than anything in the same price range. Shoot, it might even be slightly better. Of course, any of this stuff is better than nothing.

There are better deals to be had for gloves.

Any true race glove on closeout is a better buy.

I have three pairs of these and they crash very well.  He also is listing the speedstars for $20 more.  I have bought from this guy he is a good seller.:

I think those prices are a lil on the high side. I know for a fact since there is the exo 1000 you can find the exo 700 for less than 200. You should keep looking.

I woke up this morning so it has to be a good day.

    Re: scorpion gear

So has anyone heard anything about the jackets? I was looking at getting the one you linked to, in red, but don't want to spend the money if they're no good.

Looking at the specs on NewEnough it looks to be on par with the (sorry kevmo) A* jackets for the same price range, and I like the look of this better, other than the Halo jacket.

Am I missing something here?  I'm trying to find crash reports but having no luck so far!

    Re: scorpion gear

I plan to buy a Scorpion jacket next time I have a need. I tried one on a week ago and if I didn't have two jackets that are still in good shape I'd have bought it. It's more comfortable that the Joe Rocket that I'm currently wearing and the double liner may even do away with the need for the leather that I bought for cold weather. I haven't seen anything bad about them other than price since they are a little high compared to similar brands, but, if they are anything near as good as the helmets then the extra couple of bucks will be worth it.

The Scorpion gear hasn't been out for too long. I'm sure there have been a few tested the hard way by now, but, they aren't out in masses just yet. Either that or maybe the gear make you lucky...
