Wed. seems like the best option for me but I will keep you posted cause I always wanted to hit Skyline.  We won't be smashin will we cause i've given enough money to VA this year. lol

cool, we'll shoot for wed then.  speed limit on skyline is 35mph, so i don't plan to go much faster than that, maybe a little bit over, but not by much.

I'd like to join in. I ran a portion of Skyline drive yesterday and still have a good pass. I've got something cookin first thing in the morning though. I'll check back in later today once I know better how my schedule is going to break.  In the meantime here's a couple of shots from yesterday.

Overlook around MM 35 or so,

Decided to hike down to White Oak Canyon falls while I was up there and ran into this little fella on the way.

EDIT:  since bayboy had something come up in the morning, we're rolling out of sheetz at 11am.

Most of the trails branch off of the central portion of the drive but their are a few at Dickey Ridge just south of Front Royal. Here's a link to the trail descritions there.

MY morning schedule is going to make catching ya'll at Haymarket kind of tight.  Could you post up or PM me an aprox ETA and tell me which side of skyline you're gonna start on? That way if I'm running late I can just meet you all at the entrance to skyline. If I don't show on time at Sheetz and I'm not waiting at the entrance to Skyline when you get there go on without me. I'll try to catch up.

i'm just guessing, but i'd say 3pm by the time we get back to haymarket.

Thanks for posting up the ride Novasquid, I had a great time. Good relaxed pace and lots of chances to play with the camera.

I got to lay up in Bethesda Hospital for three days damn near gettin treayed for a highly resistant strain staff infection on my leg.  Nothin special..............
