cruiser life is a very different life.

    don't forget about them nice fz's, sv's, vfr's...

or them sport tourers... them st's and fj's are really nice. i wonder if scorch ever sold his st?

but if you must go cruiser... expect some MAJOR changes. sometimes i think about selling and picking up a sportbike again. they a dime a dozen here. but soemtimes i think about upgrading. i really enjoy both, each for it's own reasons. if i was a very rich man, i would own multiple bikes. as it is... i enjoy my cruiser very much.

I think I prefer cruisers n the street. sportbikes just aren't fun to ride at the speed limit. It does feel weird switchng back and forth though.
    But that's just my opinion.

I got back on bikes after 20yrs and got a cruiser, enjoyed the hell out of it until I got a Busa. Now The cruiser sits more than in the street, so if anybody is looking for a good well kept cruiser hit me up. 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500, sweet bike pictures can be emailed.

What price are you looking for? You can PM me if you prefer. Probably out of my budget...but can't hurt to ask.

Yup- I have a 2007 NightRod Special though I sold my cbr1000rr as I needed the cash. Now, I'm ready to get the 2009 Honda RVF1000 or whatever is replacing the 1000rr in 09. Suppose to have a lot more power- like I really need it. I like the NightRod as I can drink, eat and hop back on and ride for hours.
Rather be riding but forced to work....

    Re: Anyone have a cruiser??

vulcans are nice bikes. g'luck with the sale.

and i totally disagree about riding sportbikes at speed limit being boring. i loved long distance rides and slow rides on both my sixxer and r1. i loved commuting on sportbikes because  a) they small and very agile... great for parking and city traffic.  b) they made to go go GO... so if you ride it commuter mode (aka slow) then you get mad gas milage (like upper 40 or lower 50's)  c) it's pretty relaxing (imho) because you leaning fwd. just lean agaist the gas tank and just chill. on a cruiser, your back is taking most of your weight and you are hanging on while the wind is trying to pull your hands off the bike. d) smooth smooth smooth, cruisers rumble everywhere they go. plus on wkends, you can twist the grip a lil more and start leaning into them curves a lil more.  e) i kinda liked the sportbike crowd a lil more. aside from the posers who get matching helmets, jacket and shoes, most sportbikers are more fun to hang aorund with, probably because most are closer to my age. cruiser riders are cool too, but they all retired and have kids my age so there is less to relate too. anyhows, i thought it was great to commute on a sportbike... speed limit just meant you could see more things.

the main negative for riding sportbikes as a commuter is chain maintainance. lubing that sucker twice a wk, and cleaning it every sat can be a real drag. plus about once a yr you gotta buy a new set and put it on. i hated that greazy a$$ chain.
