Nice bike.  A guy at Tigerbike Racing (www.tigerbike.com) started out on one of those.  I don't need to tell you what kind of paint job he had, LOL.

Yeah, not a bad idea.  It would be pretty hard to control the bike safely with a fist full of cash, especially $6500 worth.  Good call.

Sorry you have to let her go. I looooove my 748. I'll never sell her. She just sits in my game room now. (well..when she isn't in the shopTongue Tied)

    But that's just my opinion.

Ben, sad to see you have to let her go.  And she looked so good out on the track!

I haven't recieved one email or offer at all for this bike and in a way im glad cuz its still mine, but I kinda have to focus on my education and future. If I can't get a reasonable amount for her then she ain't going nowhere.  My only true love. lol.  She's never cheated on me or talked back to moi... She knows who's in charge...

Correct, as it would look great in my living room.

I actually have a blue Ducati Darmah 900SS.  If I end up moving to some place like Houston TX, where the riding sucks, will I sell it?  No way! I'll figure out some way of displaying it indoors until my move takes me back to some decent riding area.

Good luck with your sale.  Exotics take longer to sell than vanilla Japanese, I find, from observation.

on another note i see allot of post about ducati problems  , i just wanted to add that i havent had any problems with my 900ss and ive owned it sense new in sept of 03..someone did steal my right side air deverter  which holds the insulated pad in place and my insulated padding came loose and flaped around and made a heck of a mess , but dillo gave me some duck tape and it worked just fine , i am waiting on new air deverter now and when i get it she will be like new again..i have to say that its my favorite bike out of the 5 street bikes ive owned.

As a Ducati owner... I will say.... most of the posts are true but exaggerated.

Of all the bikes I have owned (and I have owned a LOT of bikes) that moved my azz around... the Ducati is the only one that moved my soul.

Re: F/S: 2001 Ducati 748 PRICE REDUCED (YET AGAIN)

I have rode this ducati since I had it for sale months ago.... I'll drop the price from $5,800 to 5,000 just because it needs a new battery and an inspection which is only like 10 bucks ( I liteterally don't have enough money for those to items as of right now). THIS BIKE MUST GO... IMMEDIATELY...

I paid $6500 a year ago for this bike... This is a steal...
