    Quality/Accurate Tire Pressure Gauges

Started as a thread on .net, came to a useful conclusion, thought Id share the findings:

I picked up a new tire pressure gauge a week or so ago because my old one was becoming more erratic in its readings. However I only bought a little cheep one ($4) because the nicer more expensive ones ($10-$20) noted that they were precision and accurate to with in +/- 2 psi. Others made no claim at all to accuracy.

+/- 2 psi!? Thats a world of difference!

Id like to see if yall can recommend a quality accurate tire gauge, something that will still work in 10 years cause Im willing to spend the $ on a good gauge if it will last.

What gauges are worth the $ and where can I get them?

UPDATE, so you dont have to read the whole thread. Consensus; go digital.

    Recommended gauges are
    Accutire MS-5510B Racing Tire Gauge

    Amazon Link

Accurate to with in +/- 1/10th a psi. Bout $40

    And the
Accutire Car & Motorcycle Digital Tire Gauge

    http://www.autobarn.net/ms-4710b.html

Accurate to with in +/- .5 psi Bout $20

These gauges are still available but RoadGear is now making them under their name. http://www.roadgear.com/

I have one very similiar to this one, has all the same features: http://www.amazon.com/Longacre-Digital-Tire-Pressure-Gauge/dp/B000VB43L0/ref=pd_sbs_auto_2/104-9463921-7259107

I prefer this type of air chuck on the end. Much better for tight spaces like the front wheel.

Down to .5 reading is good enough.

αλήθεια some will never learn the meaning of it.
