    Anyone Have a Bluetooth Chatterbox?

I got my chatterbox and my ipod bluetooth adapter today. Chatterbox seems to work ok. Can connect and use cellphone no problem.  Can connect ipod with no problem.  Both?......problem.  The retarded thing doesn't have a discover menu. It just looks for things when you turn it on and hold a button. According to instuctions you are to follow the steps to connect the phone and then IMMEDIATELY after the phone connect, plug in the ipod bluetooth to connect.  Haven't gotten it to work once. AS SOON AS the phone connect the chatterbox drops the discover mode and I am stuck with phone only. been sitting here farting with this for two hours.  About send a little note to chatterbox, just seeing if anyone else has experience.

ALL HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!  The instruction manual was wrong. Talked to chatterbox tech today and he gave me some instruction. Now I got the ipod bumping and full phone control.  SWEET!

    Hello,
Here is the process for you to use to get everything working together.

We are assuming that both your phone and the icombi have bee previously paired.

First, turn on the XBi (DO NOT put it into pairing mode by continuing to hold the power button after the unit is on)

Second, plug the icombi into your ipod, the music should start playing automatically after a couple of seconds (if no music is heard you might have to press the intercom button on the XBi)

Third, momentarily press the power button on the XBi

The XBi should connect with your phone and then try to dial the last number dialed (press the END button on your phone)

You should now be connected to your phone AND listening to your ipod.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks!

Works like a charm for the chatterbox.  I installed it in like 5 minutes while barely paying attention. VERY simple. SOund quality seems fine.  Getting the mic right seems more challenging.  I know my Shoei has very little room in front of my mouth. In fact my lips rubbed off my manufacture date.  I called someone on my phoen to test the mic and they said I was muffled. I am still playing with mic locations and have not been on the road yet. Plan on using it a lot to ride up to Summit Aug 8th and should have more review then.

Re: Anyone Have a Bluetooth Chatterbox?

i bought the chatter box about two weeks ago and didnt have any trouble conneting to my mp3 player and phone at the same time its a awsome investment i dont have an ipod though. the mp3 player i bought was build in bluetooth capatable and only cost me $124.00 for a 4gig with and it capable of memory expantion play mp3s movies pictures radio.you your still unsure of how to connect follow the instruction for putting the xbi in discover mode connect it to your phone. then turn off you phones bluetooth which will disconnect the two and and redo the procedure for your mp3 player once your conneted to your mp3 player turn your bluetooth back on your phone select the xbi push the power button once one the xbi and poof both are working no problems. then next time just do it all over without the discover mode b/s.
