Well this was my 2nd track day at VIR, the 1st being the ART class with TPM. Wow what a day, they combined the white and red group, so I had plenty of track time (my legs are still killing me). Drove down sun afternoon and stayed in the rooms above the garages (which were full of ZO6 corvettes, testing tires on Sunday). The day started off shaky, still trying to remember the previous instruction, the racing line, proper form, etc...but by the 3rd session I found my groove.
I finally got a knee down, and it really startled me. Once I got used to the feeling I was draggin a knee the rest of the day!! I really felt comfortable during the later sessions and felt like I was smoothing out and picking up speed, actually passed a few people..
This is very addicting and if I didn't have to go overseas so much I can definitely see me becoming a track whore.
Hopefully I can sneak in a cornerspeed class before my next deployment.
My dad decided to tag along to see what a track day was like, he also brought the camcorder
