Hey when you stunter folk put on those massive rear sprockets do you notice a different in ride height? I had some WERA folk tell me your sprockets can affect ride height. I've never thought of that or had anyone else tell me that. Figured I'd ask one end of the extreme, sprocket size-wise.
Did they send you to the truck for the wood stretcher too! j/k
I could see the chain tension causing this...maybe. But. The axle height does not change with the sprocket height so how would that change the overall height.
Someone explain.Please.
why the fock would it do that?

Was a few months ago but it stuck in my head...
i dont see how 2 extra teeth is going to affect the ride hight or wheel base that much. besides some stunters use 55 to 75 toof sprockets. to make up the difference they might use a longer chain. i not sure because i'm not a pro stunter or have my bike set up that way.
you should be fine.
Unless you go to a pizza sized sprocket and keep your current chain length then the change in height would be less than negligible. The only way it can affect ride height is by keeping the chain at the current length and moving the axle, which would shorten wheel base and effectively LOWER your ride height if your axle is below your swingarm pivot point. Again this would be very minimal for minor sprocket changes.
Unless you're an expert racer I doubt you would notice a difference created by the change in wheelbase or ride height. Stunters typically get longer chains to compensate for the extra large sprockets.
Bike Killer:Twisties? Too easy for broke MF's to be competitive...
Changing sprockets wont change your ride hieght since its attached to the same rear axle as your stock!
All it is doing is chaning your chain length
Bwwahahha. Some of you are stuuuuupid.
