You have probably noticed the "Select Tags" button on the New Post screen and are wondering what it is and how it could be used.
Tags can be thought of as "Categories". Tags allow members to quickly jump into their favorite category instead of swimming through an ocean of posts to get to what they want. The Tag cloud is generated to give weights to each tag based on various factors including how many posts are under a particular tag. There is some mathematics involved in determining the font size of each tag within the tag cloud. So if you are posting about your recent exploits at Summit Point, then type in "Summit Point" in the Tags line of your post. You can also have multiple tags, such as you Summit Point;NESBA. The "Select Tags" button shows you tags that have already been created, so you can choose one from this list as well. Use tags for useful posts that people will actually get some value out of, do not use them in the "Anything Goes" forum or anything that AGish. Thats it, use it in good health..
