    Site and server update

I performed a server hardware upgrade and software update last night. Is there a noticeable improvement in performance? I am aware of some rendering issues already, I will fix them when I get a second, but if you see anything else please post up.

    Much faster!! Thanks!

The only thing that I have noticed so far is no notification for PM's and starting a new post, the "write new post" button is over lapping something or other I can't make out.

Works like a champ for me!!! Yes

Workin' crazy fast for me. Only thing I'm seeing is all the posts are centered on the page?

    Anyone else?

It's working great...the only little snafus I see are the ones that have already been mentioned, but I don't see it as a big deal.

Thank you for all your hard work Smile

This should be a stylesheet cacheing issue. The view looks fine on my screen. Try flushing the browser cache.

I am going to change this view back to show more info such, Original Poster, Number of Thread views etc.... you know when I get a min.

Sounds good to me. I deleted all history and cache... posts are still centered.

Could it be an IE7 thing on Vista?

Mine is still doing it after a cache flush. It's doing it in Firefox and IE. I'm not running vista. It's not a big deal though. I also noticed that the area where you can change the password and have favorites is gone. And the tabs for preview, add pictures and such are missing.

Could just be me since it seems that Dan could add pictures.

    But that's just my opinion.

The picture I posted was just a link to a pic hosted elsewhere... it wasn't an attachment.

    Actually the tabs for

    Compose
    Options
    Related
    Preview
are still there, look at the top section of the screen. they just look funny, this is also a style sheet issue that I will hopfully fix soon. You should able to move your mouse over it and click.

I saw that text. But it's not clickable for me.

Also here is a screenshot of the page were the password reset and favorites usually are. Again I see the options but they are not clickable. I checked in both IE (version 6) and Firefox 1.5.0.9

I'm going to update to the newest vesion of FF and see if that helps.

    But that's just my opinion.

    Re: Site and server update

I am using IE7 on Vista, and the links are clickable. Regardless, there is no excuse for the link to look like that, I will fix it tonight when I get a chance.

    Yes  Thanks Mr. H.

For what it's worth... I updated to the newest FF and it's the same.

    Ahhhh good stuff mang!

same issues as previous posters, but im a very patient man. I use to wait up to 45 seconds for a page to load... its fast now and it works...thats all im worried about.

Man, the passing of time.... back when I use to use PhotoShop 2.5 (back in 1994) I remember that a three color scan would take about 2+ minutes each color (RGB) so a scan took over 6 minutes.... and That shiit was lightning fast!!!!!! lol never would have figured todays scanners can do it in one pass and less than 7 seconds....

When I use to create 3D animation videos on Bryce 3D (back in 1998) 3 minutes of animation use to take over 32 hours to render on a 266MHz computer with a whopping 128 MB of RAM.. Today if that same animation took more that 15 minutes....something would be seriously wrong.....

    Patients.... I have it....
Even waited 10 years to bang out girl b4....laid back, always their, then one day 10 years later, she reached up on the shelf and broke the d**k in the jar....

Ive come a long way captain....
