Where the hell are some good rides/roads

Ok..   So now that i live in annapolis, it's a freakin haul to go on the normal rides.. POR, rt 33.. 211... etc...

Where are there, IF ANY good routes and rides in maryland.. besides all the way by frederick...??    I don't mind going out there once a weekend, but i wanna ride like, friday, sat and sunday.. but that *** hurts riding all the way out to por and haymarket sheets to go to 33..

    Help me

governers bridge, st. george barber, rutland, rossback, patuxent river, st. stephens church, harwood, sands, bayard, s. polling, etc

definitely not 211 or 33 - duh -  too much congestion in these parts but there are decent enough roads to make a nice route for a few hours.

if you see a "boonie" or "north beach" ride, these are usually in this area of the county going south towards calvert county.

Has anyone ever figured a route that is over the way bridge?  I went that way one day to go to chestertown to pick up my puppy... went left instead of takeing 50 right... and it seems like there are a lot of back roads out there.   I didn't explore though cuz i was in my truck

dang... md is basically get on and ride where the wind takes ya.

here its stoopid hwy, state hwy and county hwys. either that or its a cul-de-SACK.

just explore... and enjoy! my favorite is ho co, balt co and monkey co. aa's got no shortage of great rides too though.

Man up and take a trip out to W.Va., its not that bad you will get used to it after the first or second trip, Its well worth the ride. BTW if you in Annapolis your already on or very close to the North Beach routeYes

north beach is fantastic.  more roads than anyone needs.  no need to go west.  pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

I agree to the "PAY NO ATTENTION" part!  NB is OK.  But I hate doing the same route over and over...BORING!  Theres some good roads over the bridge.  There used to be a route posted up but I dont know where it went.  211/33 is way outa control - too many crashes and now the cops are all over it.  Theres a TON of more roads out in WVA.

Sorry I couldnt be of more help...Just dont know road names..

There's a sick road up in WVA. You gotta pay like ~$175 toll though through NESBA or the likes. They call it the "MAIN" road. Wicked sick! It's gotten a little torn up and bumpy, but you can go like 150+ mph on it. Very challenging.

NESBA (X) #12 - goin' for it in October!

So why don't more people hold N. Beach runs?  Or just runs around the eastern part of md?

Re: Where the hell are some good rides/roads

seriously... just pick a direction and just ride. there are great rides in every direction. you found frederick, start exploring carrol co, ho co, mo co and aa... sh!t... even south like chuck co and calvert has great roads... i remember riding with some oxen hill peeps further south on my pedal bike and thinkin... dang! i gotta bring my motorbike out here!

my personal local favorite was tri something in ho co. tridelphia? tri fold wallets? try me? i dunno... but i used to ride that area on my pedal bike too. also.. it seems like if there is a reservor near by, there are great roads near by too. tri something, rocky gorge, liberty... explore, and you'll never run out of roads in that area. chicken strips can easily become a thing of the past.

better yet... join these guys (and cool chicks) on a noob ride sometime. noob ride means more relaxed pace, less show-offs, less accidents and thus much more phun.
