I'll let dillo make the final call...but I don't think this ride is noob friendly. It's certainly not a balls out ride.. but moderate pace is gnerally over the speed limit (in the turns...not just on the straights. Also.. look at the pics above with the rocks. That's the kind of surfaces we'll be on. Judge from there.

    But that's just my opinion.

2 hours to the meet spot by slab. 3 hours by back roads. If I don't get my butt outta bed so I can be out the door by 5:30am and take back roads instead of slab I'm gonna be mighty moody when I show up. Super Angry

I have done the two hour by slab to get to a ride before. Last week I went an hour and a half by slab to get to a ride... This one will only take me 46 minutes... If I found it on the map correctly.. Big Smile

So slow I think Im first!

this ride will be fine on any bike. Any "offroading" we do will be VERY minor and will have bypass for anone not interested in it if you are brand new to riding you might want to get another year or two under your belt. We will keep an 'interesting' pace nothing that I would call fast. We will wait for everyone at each intersection. So no need to try to keep up and possibly get hurt. Ride your own ride and enjoy the sceanery. Also. On the other side ofthe coin. This won't be the pegscraping rape&pilliage ride of years past. Ok maybe a wheelie or two, but fairly relaxed.

    Re: Ride. north.

dillo - thanks for coming out of group ride retirement to lead this one. It was a great ride. to all - it was nice meeting all of you. Perfect weather, good group of fellow riders with a ferry ride and some on-the-fly bike repair thrown in. Look forward to seeing the pics and ride reports. (400+ miles! Really? That rocks.)
