01 ZX6R camshaft correct intake and exhaust position ..... anyone know this?????

If you own a Kawi you very well know that after a while you start dropping gears and taking that to the shop can cost you an arm and a leg. So i decided to fix the problem myself and took down the motor, replaced the shift fork ears and decided to replace the head gasket but never really got round to doing that. I got as far as removing the camshafts and decided not to proceed and instead put the bike back together.

The first time i did it, i did not pay attention and i switched the intake and exhaust camshafts and as a result the motor wouldn't turn so i did it all over again and this time round placed the camshafts correctly. Only problem, the gears on the camshaft are not clearly marked to indicate which position is the intake and which is the exhaust. On these gears, one side has a single round mark the size of a dot and the other has two of these but no clear marking which side is intake or exhaust. So I decided to try what i thought was the correct position and i could turn the motor manually and mounted it back on the bike connected everything and hoping it would start which ofcourse didn't. The starter turns the motor but it won't start.

I should have marked the positions before removing the same but overlooked that so now i am wondering if there is someone out there that has done this before and could point out the right position so that i don't have to take the motor down three more times until i get it right.
